Biggest ever Safari!

SafariHere's some cool news for the African wildlife: governments of a number of African countries are planning to create Africa's biggest game park around the bordering areas of Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The project is proposed to be a big tourism avenue aside from providing a safe haven to wild animals that often suffer from the unstable political scenario in a number of African countries.

The highlights of the game park, plans of which are almost finalized as of now, will include the Victoria falls, one of seven wonders of the world, and the magnificent Okavango Delta.

There are some hindrances though and these include de-mining of certain territories after past civil wars in some countries, and the delicate socio political environment in Zimbabwe, but hopefully this noble and great venture will overcome all obstacles and results into a great safe haven for animals and attraction for tourists ~ that we can all someday visit!

This is NOT as good as they are depicting, in fact it is sure to lead to the complete destruction of the elephant herds throughout the entire area. The monstrous Tourist Resort they have planned for the falls will completely cut off the elephant and other herd animals from their traditional seasonal feeding grounds. The animals are going to starve to death so that tourist can view them easier for a few years.

Love those falls. They are beautiful. I have seen a picture of them before. Love the Niagara Falls also. Considering what wilk said it sounds like they should do some more research and reconsideration. I am in favor of the animals instead of the tourists. More should be done to care for the animals.

It looks like a good idea, but the portion that almost cuts Zambia in half worries me. Will the people there respect the borders of the park? If what Wilk says is true, then it that part of the park is definitely a very bad idea.
