Young Ones

Yesterday's trip to the zoo after a few months was a refreshing one. It was so wonderful to see the young lion and tigress who were born around October last year all grown up and enjoying themselves.

Here is the baby lion cub at a few weeks of age last year ~

And here he is now nearly eleven months old, with his mom. He looks a bit slim but then he plays alot and is a choosy eater, the caretaker at the zoo told me ~

At around the same time last year a baby tigress was born too ~

Here she is, at nearly one year of age ~

This is her father. I inadvertently got too close to the cage before the keeper told me he could take his paw out through these bars ~ glad he didn't attack me :)

Here is the mom. Tigers really are soooo beautiful ~

And the ever-active brother ~

Meanwhile things are fine with Snow, Forest and the babies. I am free these days and get to wake up early daily owing to the constant running of all four kittens on and around the bed for at least two hours between seven am and nine am!

Daddy Snow meanwhile naps away the days ~

The all most year old tigress is beautiful. So are the others but to me she stands out for some reason. I know you enjoy being in the cage with the babies as it shows in your pictures. Snow looks like he is all wrapped up in a tiger. Never even thought about the table leg being a small tree for the cats to rub on. Doesn't even have rough bark either. LOL. Are you going to be a Vet? You sure do love the big cats.

Wowie kazowie, what bee-yootiful picktures of the big kitty cats! I wish I was that big. But if I was that big I don't think I could say MAO anymore, I think it would come out ROAR!

I'm so glad Forest, Snow and the babykitties are doin' well. We've missed you!

The tigress is lovely. Of course so is the lion.. but they are cats, how could they be otherwise?

Tigers are very beautiful. Baby big cats sure grow up fast, but I guess they have to.

It sounds like you have your hands full. Snow looks awfully comfy there as do most new dads. I think you all need long naps!
Glad you're all doing well!
