Dec 25, 2007 was a mild and pleasant day in San Fransisco. However the calmness of the beautiful Christmas Day was shattered in San Fransisco zoo when a Siberian Tigress, Tatiana, escaped her enclosure to maul two young men and kill another. In the end she too was shot by officials. What provoked the attack and how did the big cat manage to scale the high walls of her grotto - National Geographic Channel is doing a special program on this - it premieres this Sunday, August 10, at 10 pm...don't forget to watch it...I'll do a write up on it too in the coming days...

i will watch it! this was such a sad situation. a tiger, being a tiger and responding to provoking by those boys. their parents should have taught them better.
i'm sad that Tatiana was killed and not tranqed and put back in her cage.
That was a very sad story. I will be interested to learn more about what caused this tragedy.
