Ivory Trade in Africa

Thanks everybody for admiring the Norwegian Forest Cat pics by Vicki, and for supporing eBay's ban on Ivory trade across its site. As regards Ivory trade in Africa, here is an interesting write-up on the subject that is worth reading to gain a perspective at what's driving the Ivory trade and the recent CITES move to allow African countries a one-off sale of Ivory stockpiles.

I read that article at length. That's really disheartening. I love wildlife it saddens me when greed destroys something as precious as the elephants. In the end we all miss out.
